We are looking for a new successful Business Development Manger to maintain and grow our Danish market position. You will be a part of a team of 5, with overall responsibility for delivering superior sales and customer support of a well known and appreciated brand of products BMS.


Trend Control Systems have been active in the Danish BMS market sine 1984 through our network of Trend Systems Integrators and our office in Aarhus. To support our growth strategy, we are looking for a dedicated, customer focused Business Development Manager referring to the Nordic Region Sales Director who is based in Aarhus.


The main office is in Aarhus but the job may be performed remotely from Copenhagen area.


Key Tasks / success criteria:


  • Manage a portfolio of existing consultant, end-user and contractor accounts and identification of new account opportunities to produce the required turnover of Trend products and necessary growth for the business
  • Identification of potential new Consultants and Specifiers and convert them to long-term specifiers of Trend products
  • Develop specific market segments to become Trend strongholds in the Danish BMS market
  • Achievement of Quarterly sales, margin, cash and personal performance targets
  • Delivery of seminars to specifiers and participate in National promotional events
  • Deliver year on year growth in specific product range sectors


Professional qualifications:


  • Strong commercial background and awareness
  • Has good selling skills and understands the importance of needs creation in order to deliver customer satisfaction
  • Experienced individual with proven track record of developing business with Consultants and End Users
  • Good account management skills that maximize return on investment
  • Knowledge of the Danish controls/HVAC/building market
  • First rate presentation and analytical skills
  • Energy, confidence and determination to sell market leading products
  • Must be a team player but must be highly motivated and self-reliant
  • Excellent communication and customer facing skills.
  • Technical appreciation of control systems is a benefit
  • Technical background e.g. as an electrician, electrical installer, consulting engineer, degree in engineering or similar is a benefit
  • Strong commercial background and awareness
  • A total commitment to delivering customer service
  • (Desirable)Proven interpersonal skills, able to quickly establish credibility and effective working relationships with both external and internal parties, i.e. customers and key influencers

Personal characteristics:


  • Ability to complete multiple tasks within time requirements
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to communicate clear and concisely (both written and verbal)
  • Willing to undertake travel from time to time.
  • Previous relevant experience in compiling bids and assisting in bid preparations


Language & IT:


  • Fluent Danish, and good English skills.
  • Fully IT literate.
